Dr. Kim's Magic Mineral Broth
A simple way to support your immune system and nourish the body. This elixir has been used for immune boosting, healing comfort and is the perfect addition to your health arsenal. But wait, there is more... some people have notices that drinking this broth not only boosted their immune system, but also improved their sleep (maybe the magnesium which is calming?). Either way, this nourishing broth can be used as a stock, a soup starter, or as a flavor enhancement and allows the body to refresh and restore itself. Food really is medicine as Hippocrates so wisely pointed out.
Good broth will resurrect the dead. - A South American Proverb

Dr. Kim's Magic Mineral Broth
6 unpeeled carrots, cut into thirds
2 unpeeled onions (you can remove loose dry skin), cut into chunks
1 leek, white and green parts, cut into thirds
1 bunch of celery (including heart), cut into thirds
4 unpeeled red potatoes, quartered
2 unpeeled sweet potatoes, quartered
1 unpeeled garnet yam, quartered
5 unpeeled garlic, halved
1/2 bunch fresh flat-leaf parsley
12 black peppercorns
4 whole allspice
2 bay leaves
8 quarts of cold water
1 tsp. baja gold salt
Make sure to throughly clean vegetables leaving the skin intact (we used the Norwex veggie and fruit scrub cloth).
Bring broth to a gentle boil and simmer for 2 hours.
Remove broth from burner and strain out vegetables and spices.
Purée vegetables and add back to broth, or remove and discard.
Use Magic Mineral Broth as a base or stock for soup.
Notes: In addition to using the broth for a soup base and stock we have used it to make pho, adding fresh ginger, Braggs Amino Acids and Fish Sauce. The vegetables tend to be on the "squishy" side so if consistency is an issue for you, or if you don't want to purée all the vegetables back into the broth feed them to your pets! Our dogs thought that they were eating gourmet and they were receiving the benefits of this magic broth as well!
